Aireloom was founded in 1940 by King Karpen, a 3rd generation master furniture maker and the originator of California comfort. True to his legacy, we still operate and innovate in our California headquarters to this day.

1940
Preferred

Aireloom mattresses have been preferred by the most exclusive clientele, including celebrities and presidents. During Ronald Reagan's presidency, he replaced all the beds in the White House with Aireloom mattresses.

1981
Acquired

Industry legend, Earl S. Kluft, acquired Aireloom Bedding and founded E.S. Kluft & Company.

2004
Perfected

After many years on the pursuit of handcrafting the best beds, Aireloom perfected the construction of its mattresses and patented the Aireloom Lift™.

2005
Expanded

E.S. Kluft & Company opened the 1st manufacturing plant in Rancho Cucamonga, CA with over 110,000 square feet. Continuing the legacy of handcrafting luxury mattresses in the U.S.

2007
Increased

E.S. Kluft & Company opened its 2nd manufacturing plant in Hazelton, PA with over 76,000 square feet.

2011
Integrated

The Flex Group from Madrid, Spain, acquired E.S. Kluft & Company. Founded in 1912, The Flex Group is amongst the world's top 10 global sleep products producers and commands a leadership position in premium bedding.

2013
Celebrated

Aireloom celebrates its 80th anniversary and legacy of timeless artful craftsmanship combined with the finest materials to continue to provide luxurious handmade California mattresses.

2020
Extended

Extending its operations, E.S. Kluft & Company opened its Texas manufacturing plant and distribution facility, bringing the number of locations where Aireloom mattresses are handcrafted to three.
